Partner Kathryn McDonough and Associate Michelle Amick Prikhodko Recognized at Montgomery County’s Law Day on Apr. 26, 2014
Andalman & Flynn is pleased to announce that attorneys Kate McDonough and Michelle Amick Prikhodko have been recognized for their hard work with the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland.
Kate was recognized as the Bar Association’s "Section Chair of the Year" for her work as the Chair of the Family Law Section. Kate has served as the Chair of the Family Law Section since 2012. She shares this honor with the two attorneys who co-chaired the Family Law Section with her this year. Kate is the managing attorney of Andalman & Flynn’s Family Law Department and is an excellent advocate for her clients assisting in all areas of custody, divorce, adoption, guardianship, premarital agreements, and support enforcement. Kate is also frequently appointed by the court to represent children in high-conflict custody cases.
Michelle was recognized for her work in the Bar Association’s Leadership Development Academy, where she coordinated the Truancy Court Program at a local middle school. Michelle works in our Disability Law Department and concentrates her practice on assisting employees who have become disabled because of injury or illness win disability benefits including FERS disability retirement benefits for federal and postal employees; short- and long-term disability insurance benefits for employees who have that coverage; Social Security Disability benefits; and State of Maryland disability retirement benefits for state employees and public school teachers.
