Successful Long Term Disability Claim Settled for Over $500,000
Peter Casciano just settled a Long Term Disability (LTD) client’s claim in full for a total settlement of over $500,000.00! This was a great result for the client! After having been denied on her initial application, after several long and complex administrative appeals, Mr. Casciano won the claim and forced the company to pay all LTD benefits retroactive to her date of disability. The carrier was also forced to place her in pay status going forward. Primarily, this win on appeal was achieved by producing objective test evidence and vocational evidence that convinced the insurance company to reverse their previous decisions. Almost immediately after that, the carrier offered our client a lump sum settlement so that they did not have to pay any more future LTD benefits to her. The client agreed in order to ensure no future reviews, no surveillance, and no more carrier physician exams.
