Cycling for a Great Cause

Feb 6, 2011 | Andalman & Flynn News

On Saturday, February 12, 2011, we will be participating in a local charity event, Cycle for Great Causes. This indoor cycling program, held at Aspen Hill Racquet Club in Silver Spring, MD, looks to raise money for two worthy causes – the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association. Many of us in the firm have experienced at least one of these medical issues, either ourselves, or through family members.

Team A&F, comprised of several of our attorneys and paralegals, will participate in five spinning classes, lasting 45 minutes each, between 6:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

The event is very timely, as each year since 1963, the president has declared February “American Heart Month.” In his official proclamation on January 31, 2011, President Barack Obama stated:

During American Heart Month, we honor the health professionals, researchers, and heart health ambassadors whose dedication enables countless Americans to live full and active lives.  This month, let us rededicate ourselves to reducing the burden of heart disease by raising awareness, taking steps to improve our own heart health, and encouraging our colleagues, friends, and family to do the same.

We thank you for your support of these great causes.
