My practice of law is primarily in the areas of domestic relations, criminal defense, disability law, and general civil litigation. The assistance that I provide to my clients include:
- Domestic: separation, divorce, alimony/spousal support, child custody, visitation, child support, marital and non-marital property issues, domestic violence, and spousal and child abuse matters.
- Civil: business disputes, contractual agreements and enforcement, collection of debts owed to businesses and individuals, automobile accidents, and personal injury.
- Disability Law: federal employee and postal worker claims for disability retirement annuities and long term disability and short term disability insurance claims, including ERISA litigations.
- Criminal: felonies and misdemeanors, including but not limited to, assaults, weapons charges, alcohol and drug related cases, DWIs/DUIs, traffic offenses, and juvenile matters.
I view my representation of each client as having three main components upon which I focus my legal knowledge and work efforts; they are: (1) thoroughly preparing each case for hearing/trial, (2) pursuing all reasonable avenues of settlement that are fair and just and (3) regularly communicating with my client in a meaningful way throughout the case so that the client is apprised of, understands, and is actively involved in the options, decisions, and progress of his/her case.
I was raised in Montgomery County, Maryland, and graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Wheaton, Maryland. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University and attending law school at the Catholic University of America, I am pleased to be an active member of the Bar of the State of Maryland and Washington, D.C.
